Saving a tracking path & mask to use on another layer
on Aug 18, 2013 at 1:10:36 am

I have footage where the subject has a lazy eye..Yes he's the CEO!
Using SliceX Is it possible to track a mask on the bad section & then apply that track and mask to a good frame above?
ie so the good eye above tracks over the lazy one below?

Thanks

Sorry this is not possible with SliceX. SliceX only allows you to track masks, it doesn't allow you to track objects into a shot.

Thanks for your reply Roger.
I manually tracked this to get the job out then tried a couple of things.
In fact you can do it by tracking the lower footage, in this case glasses frame, then copying the clip and applying attributes (Shift-Cmd - V) to the attached clip, selecting SliceX.
I then deleted the sliceX effect on the lower clip. Adjusted the mask on the upper clip to include only the eye area. Aligned the images at the first frame and all works well.
No doubt not as well as Moccha in AE but it does this type of thing well.
I'm now even more amazed with this fantastic SliceX.
Thanks
Ken
