Transition timing with Lab Film Bowout
on May 23, 2013 at 9:00:14 am

I just wondered if there was a way to exactly time when the transition happens. Because when I put the effect on a piece with the second video image I want, but it transitions almost straight away and I want it to transition at the end.

Is the only way to do this by cutting the end section and then applying the effect that piece, or is there a way to keyframe the effect..

I have played around with the transition time values. blending and the power, and the others, but even when I turn power right down to 0 it still blowsout at the same point, I can make the transition faster and slower, but not when it happens.

You are correct you can't change the transition point, it always happens in the middle of the transition. As you suggest cut the clip and then apply it at the point where you want it to apply and drag its length to be the correct length.
