Hi,
I recently down loaded the trial version of Lock & Load.
All going well yesterday, Tracking and rendering no problem, looking good.
Today I'm getting the message:
"The effect Lock & Load frames failed to render: your hardware cannot render at the requested size & depth"
It seems to do the tracking OK but then won't render.
Same problem with 'Lock & Load x'
Tried a bunch of troubleshooting with no luck including uninstalling then reinstalling.
Sequence and media is Apple ProRes
It's still in trial period...any ideas?
Thanks,
Peter

Hello, this problem is related to your graphics hardware.
What graphics hardware do you use, and how much VRAM does it have?
There is an Apple support article about this issue, which you might find helpful:

That Apple support thread link is expired. Any additional information you can provide on this? Having the same issue... I know a better graphics card would obviously fix the issue. Wondering if there are any other work arounds in the mean time.

Lock & Load actually has rather low requirements regarding OpenGL performance and VRAM size, so it should work with most graphics cards. However, for some reasons FCP sometimes marks Lock & Load as "demanding".
You could try to temporarily remove FCP's preferences and see if it makes a difference.

Same problem here. running 10.6.4 on macbook pro and suddenly one day I get this. no fix for me as I cannot alter any graphics options on this piece of crap. Another day f---ed by this mind of its own bullshit.
