Was preparing for NAB where I'm going to have to do some live stand-up interviews over the week.
Thinking about gear, It suddenly struck me as kinda weird that none of the major Mic manufacturers seems to sell a simple interview mic that self-records.
I mean if Zoom can do a slim basic stereo recorder in a semi-stick form like the H1 - why isn't there something like a long handled regular mic form factor with a decent diaphragm, some flash memory on board and a micro USB port? Doesn't even have to be stereo, for heaven's sake - just a solid Mono interview mic without the hassle of wires or a radio built in?
Seems like an odd omission in our industry.
