Video Specs for ftp upload

How many of you have found it difficult to get either a straight answer about getting the correct specs for digital delivery, ie uploading your spot or piece to an ftp site for broadcast?
In this case CNN, I can't seem to find a contact or website information to get the correct file to them and the pdf that I was forwarded to me is from 2006 and has .wmv as the example format used to upload to their ftp. I can't imagine that this is still the format that they want to broadcast their media in?

I'm sure that's just for approval files. Last time I checked, they still dug Debata masters with a minute of bars and tone, 8 secs of slate, two secs of black with show starting at one hour even... drop frame.
If they do now accept uncompressed QTs, it's as easy as ironing that out with your contact.
