Sometimes being a vidiot has its perks.
Before my Dad passed away, I was able to sit him down and get some gold on tape.
I shot this almost three years ago and I have not brought myself to dig through the footage until now. I wanted to finish this for my brothers and sisters before Christmas.
Now, this is twenty minutes of stories that may not be globally entertaining so I don

What a nice video... watched it all, that will be priceless to you and the other kids.

Two observations... first, he certainly wasn't afraid to work hard as a kid and young man. Don't see that nearly as much and more.

And secondly... he had great taste in cars. :)

Let me start by saying I haven't watched your video yet, but its a great idea to document your family.

In August my Dad went into the hospital. We were told he wasn't going to make it. To make a long story short he is now home and doing well. He's still healing from his aliments and will be a different person for the rest of his life (which probably won't be more than a couple of years, but here's to hoping for more).

I keep telling myself I need to take a day with him and my camera. If not for myself, but for my daughter who at 9 months old will probably never get to know him very well or remember him much.

You've inspired me to get this taken care sooner than later. Thanks.

I am thankful that I did this with 3/4 of my grandparents, in various forms. And there is generic home video/8mm of all of them.

If you haven't done this yet, do it before you forget.

Nice video-- will be so glad you did this.

Dog story was quite the downer-- but enjoyed the rest.
