Saving Final Cut to Avid for output.

Hi All:
OK here is the challenge. I shot a commercial on DV. I edited the commercial in Final Cut pro on a 4:2:2 time line. My final destination is Digibeta, but I do not have a digi machine. I have a freind who has an Avid Adrenalin. I tried saving my quicktime movie uncompressed (to a firewire drive. The Avid recongnised the quicktime movie, but it looked soft coming out of the Avid. Does anyone have some workflow advise to get the best quality out?
Thanks for your help.
Roy

Good day Roy,

I think your post would be better served either in the Final Cut Pro or AVID forums.

i would say you need to rent a digibeta deck, go out to the deck after you have rendered everything. you should have edited the entire shoot in avid. avid is far superior, though more expensive, even xpress pro hd, can edit film.

[Brett Cassell] "avid is far superior, though more expensive, even xpress pro hd, can edit film."

FCP can edit film (2K) as well with BlackMagic and AJA hardware. Avid is only superior to those who feel it is.
