This is huge! Orson Wells' final, unfinished film "The Other Side of The Wind" is set to come out next May. This is up there with "The Day The Clown Cried" in the status of never-released films. I am interested to see how they will accommodate for the missing resources needed to finish the film.
I will be spending my time until May getting more acquainted with Wells' work. I imagine I will be standing in line for this movie across from the line of people going to see Avengers 2. That makes me feel like an un-cool nerd. That phrase would have sounded ridiculous when I was in high school.
I too have longed to see this work since reading tantalizing bits from Bogdonovich's book. Seems like a story that could hold up today quite well, but we don't have anybody quite like Altman to pull it off today.
