IN A WORLD, WHERE DON LAFONTAINE IS DEAD, ONE MAN (OR WOMAN) WILL TAKE UP HIS GAUNTLET AND ASSUME MASTERY OF FILM TRAILER VOICE-OVERS.
This is quirky enough to be a Wes Anderson movie, but it isn't. I did enjoy it, mostly, because it has some comedy actors you're familiar with, doing roles you're not used to seeing them in, and it feels refreshing.
The story has few surprises, but manages to create a sense of the tiny WORLD in which the audio narration pros work, and it's fun to get a little taste of that. It has some trouble deciding whether the competition for the role, or the romantic comedy theme, is the "B" plot. Not a bad redbox choice for a "couples" movie.
