First of all, I love the use of old school filming techniques in the age of all things vfx. Secondly, I just love having things accessible during the shoot instead of asking everybody to play make-believe and putting it together in post.

Reminds me of the 360-degree movie adventures they had at Disney World back in the 90's.

"Please: no eating, drinking, or flash photography."


Not too far into the future, we'll have organic LED wallpaper with the resolution to do this sort of thing on our home walls. That WILL be fun: the entire wall could change pattern or become virtually transparent to an environment of your choice, and have a virtual "window" or door of any architectural style, with a view to anywhere.
