Once in a while a movie or tv show comes along that is just pure excitement. Sure they insert a few important dialogue scenes to establish the plot but the bulk of the action is in fact ACTION.
A movie I especially enjoy is Shoot to Kill with Tom Berenger and Sydney Poitier. It is basically a chase over mountains through the wilderness and over the Canadian border. Just one thrill after another.
Ronin with Robert DeNiro was another interesting film. it had moments of drama and intrigue, but the centerpiece of a high speed car chase through Paris was a thrill indeed. Of course the director, John Frankenheimer, known for his early film Grand Prix, was a master of high speed action.
In a previous post I mentioned the new TV show Trauma. This is especially interesting to me since a few years ago I helped create two training programs. One for EMT's related to Mass Casualty Incident management
