This aired a couple weeks ago, but I finally got around to watching it on my DVR, it's an hour long documentary on the 6 day process of creating a new episode of South Park. I've been a fan since the first episode of the show, back when I was in 8th grade (wow, it's been on for a while!), and this is an incredibly interesting look into the never-before-seen writing room of the show.
It looks like it's a painful process, as well as kind of a fun work environment. It's insane to think that Trey Parker is still *writing scenes* for a new episode the same day that it eventually airs!
I have no idea how to view the whole thing it at this point if you didn't just DVR it, but if you can find a way to watch it, check it out!
That was a great article, I just read it (Nice job, Tim). The documentary covers similar ground, but 3 seasons later, after they are coming back from their Book of Mormon run. And it features Bill Hader as a member of the writing staff! At the very least, the documentary shows them as smart, down-to-Earth guys who have a very strong work ethic. And comically racist Asian accents.
