I have many XDCam disks which were potentially heat damaged and some exposed to serious smoke damage and water when our offices were destroyed in a major fire. Can the water damaged ones be saved? Is there a procedure for this? Any way to remove the actual disks and clean them? Or should a visual inspection be enough to just make sure that the disk surfaces are clean?
Any advice will be appreciated. Fortunately all finished shows archived to data Blu-Ray disks in a fire-proof safe seem to have survived.
