Does metadata written in XDCAM Browser make it to Avid?
on May 16, 2013 at 7:56:59 pm

Another thread got me curious so I pulled up a XDCAMHD disc image into XDCAM Browser (I know it's old). I marked an in/out, input some title and description data as well as indicated it was a "good shot". I then AMA to the card image and can't see any of this metadata. Looking at the clip in Premiere Pro CS6, I can see Title, Description but no in/outs so at least I know the update to the metadata worked.

Is there a reason this metadata isn't being understood by Avid?

Symphony 6.5.2 Windows 7 Pro. I saw no evidence in any of the Avid columns that the metadata made the transition. Looking specifically for in/outs and comments.
