Any news about support in Adobe CS6 (specifically Premiere Pro) for XDCam? Output to XDCam optical disc? Any other new features related to XDCam?

Thanks All,

Andrew Southard

There is a new ingest/logging app called Prelude which has really robust support for XDCAM metadata, including custom Planning Metadata created using Browser or any of the XMPilot applications. It allows you to link the media, do very deep logging, and then forward the clips to a Premiere project (you can forward links to the clips, ie leave them in their original location, or transfer actual copies to your media drive). You can also create EDLs of the linked clips, which Prelude saves in the form of a 'rough cut' file.

Premiere Pro also has improved support for XD metadata, including Planning and Live Logging metadata created using the XMPilot tools.

Output to XDCAM disc is also supported in PPro CS6.

We a showing a 'technology preview' of Prelude/PPro CS6 in the XDCAM workflow area at NAB. Features and specs subject to change etc.

Thanks Ian--Output to XDCam disc was the big feature I was looking for. I'll take a look at Prelude.
