800 vs 700 daylight balance

Im interested to learn of the difference between these two cameras when shooting side by side in daylight.
Presumably there must be some difference between electronic 5600k balance of the 700 and preset optical filter balance of the 800 in daylight?

Ill need to intercut between the two.
Job/kit is abroad so I cant test just yet.

Mike,

I have both 700 and 800 and despite electronic daylight control in 700 and optical filter in 800, I get excellent match. Of course I use a DSC chart, waveform/vectorscope and RMB-750 controls to adjust and confirm, but these cameras can easily be made to make identical pictures.

You can set the F800 to electronically correct rather than optical if you choose. Theory goes that electronic correction is actually preferable as the camera is native tungsten so when balancing for daylight the normally noisy blue channel gain gets reduced resulting in a cleaner picture. Also gives constant gain across all white balance settings.
