cinealta f900 film back size??
on Jul 15, 2005 at 5:16:15 pm

We just shot something w/ th cinealta f900, and now we are matchmoving it. We need the film back size to input in the tracker...i guess that would be the ccd size in a digital camera?

Any one knows what it is or where to find it?

I tried google for hours :(
many thanks

CCD size is 2/3". Focal angle and depth of field close to 16mm.

Did you find that 16mm worked for your backplate setting? I'm currently setting up a matchmove shot in SynthEyes with footage shot with the 900 as well. The AC on set gave me the lens information for the shots (23mm for one set up and 11mm for another). Any information you could give me would be greatly appreciated. Thanks so much.

Does anyone out there know the EXACT size if the CCD on a SONY HDR-FX1 in milimiters? I am doing a 3-D match move for a sequence I shot on my FX-1. I am using a software called Maya and need to know the size of the filmback wich, in this case, refers to the size of the CCD. The average filmback size for 35mm is 9.875 x 7.351. I think I need it measured to the thousandths decimal. The 1/3" the manual gives is not going to cut it. Anyone have this info. Have not been able to find it anywhere. Chris any thoughts?

Would the same measurements would be used for DV?

I need the filmback/CCD dimensions, the CAMERA aperture.

Not the standard 1/3" 1,170,000 pixel figures you see in the manual. I already checked that.

For an instance the cannon XL-1 Specs are:

Chip size- 6.08 X 5.00 mm

Image area- 4.82 X 3.64 mm

Thanks.
