SRW 5500 -- Ingesting Digibeta

Hi,

Working on an HD project where we are ingesting some Digibeta material. We've been ingesting it with the SRW blowing up and cropping the image for 16x9.

Does anyone know of a way to change the framing of the blown up version coming out of the SRW? Is there a menu feature where you can make the SRW move the image "up" or "down"?

I tried the manual. It is...unhelpful!

I know we can ingest 4x3 and alter in FCP, but would like to avoid it.

Thanks!
k

No, as you suspected. It offers you the pillar-box, edge-crop, and squeeze conversions, but after that, nothing.

What are you using for an I/O video card?

I've derived some fairly nice results with the built-in hardware uprez in the Kona3 and it will allow some letterbox/anamorphic options on ingest.

And I use a DVW-A500 for DBeta playback instead of my SRW-5500. The DBeta PB option didn't make sense to me. Very expensive heads to wear down on SD.
