Illustrator CS5 select no longer has bounding box handles

I don't know how it happened, but somehow I've removed the select tool's ability to use the bounding boxes handles to change size. When I click on an object with the select tool it shows the bounding box, but there are no resize handles, so every size adjustment has to be done via the transform menu.

I'm assuming it was a key stroke thing, but I can't find any way to undo whatever it is I've done.

If anyone knows how to get my bounding box handles back I'd be very happy and much more productive!

Thanks!

Gord

That's to hide the edges.

What you're looking for is view>show bounding box.
