How they do that
on Sep 29, 2006 at 4:49:27 am

Hi,

the text "fanfilms.com" surrounded by a sort of glow that follows the pattern of the text:
http://www.theforce.net/fanfilms/shortfilms/troops/

I use to see it used also on pictures of people and objects.

How can it be done?

Thank you

Sorry, are you talking about the title text in the header of the website?!?

It's just a white outer glow (or drop shadow) applied to the layer in photoshop or illustrator. Double click any layer in PShop and you've got a bunch of layer styles you can edit.

Or have I got the the wrong end of the stick?

"Or have I got the the wrong end of the stick?"

You got me perfectly right, thank you for your help. I have tried the solution but it doesnt work as perfectly as the header there yet, maybe i need more tweaking and practices to reach the savoir-faire level of these guys lol.

Again thank you

Aye, just play around with all the diff parameters of the effect and you'll be able to create allsorts of glows, etc. Have fun.
