I recently went through the 3-part tutorial called "Converting Video to Cartoon." I followed along with the steps and everything worked fine. Now I am working on a project in 720p shot with the HVX-200 (1280 x 720 pixels). I am trying to convert the video to cartoon using the same steps as the tutorial. Everything works fine until I go to batch process the image sequence in Bridge. As the images are processed by Illustrator they are resized, so my finished image sequence has been cropped down to 720x480. I think the problem is with Bridge rather than Illustrator because if I open one of the frames in Illustrator, click Live Trace, then save it again it keeps its original resolution.
Has anyone run into this problem? Is there a setting I can change in Bridge so that it won't resize my images as it processes them?
sounds to me like you forgot to change the settings in the Livetrace_ai.jsx file. In part one of the three part tutorials you mentioned, AR does go through the parameter changes you need to make in order to work with HD video. I think lines 10 and lines 497 are the two lines but I can't remember the parameters.
