I'm trying to photoshop out the background of about 100 images or more per day and I'm wondering if anyone has any tricks on how to speed up the process. The backgrounds are all varied (no green screen or anything like that) and so far I've just been using a slightly feathered lasso tool.
I've toyed with the idea of trying to create an action that could select and remove the background but haven't been able to make it work.
See if you want the quality result then the speedy way of removing background may not be the perfect choice. Yes if the background is in different format then automatic selection tool like magic wand tool wont help you much as well. It is possible to have a perfect selection of image, if you use pen tool only. Anyway as you are looking for speedy but quality result then it would be better to outsource them!
