Wrapping an image around a 3-D object.
on Dec 28, 2008 at 7:05:48 pm

I am working with Adobe Photoshop CS3 Extended and following the lessons in the classroom in a book. I got to lesson ten with no problems. The lesson calls for wrapping an image of a phone around a 3-D box. I entered vanishing point and created my planes with no difficulty, then pasted the phone image into the vanishing point dialogue box. The marquee tool is automatically selected which I use to drag my image to the center front perspective plane. This should result in a perfectly wrapped image, however, the image is cut off halfway through the top plane. Also, the portion of the image which should appear at the bottom of the left plane, appears at the top. I've re-set adobes default settings, re-started my project many times, re-created my perspective planes, consulted adobe help and several other websites on the matter, but cannot figure out why this image is not wrapping around the box correctly. Please help!
