Format image for transparency background.

Greeting,

Recently, I'm doing an experimental project, which requires me to omit the original background, to transparency with the image attached.

When exporting to FCP, the background converts to white instead of transparency background. I'm trying to keep the background transparency, so that I can have control of placement with the image.

Apparently, I'm doing the procedure incorrectly, would be grateful if you can give me a brief run-through how to convert the white to transparency background for export to FCP.

Thank you for your time and consideration.

Respectfully Yours,
Harlem, New York

Always do your best.
