Total Training vs Lynda - For Illustrator
on May 30, 2006 at 8:02:22 am

Okay, so I'm an Avid editor guy but I do a ton of after effects stuff as well. I used the Meyers' books as well as the Cow to learn that program inside and out. I know a fair amount of Photoshop...at least as much as I need to get me through the day. The one thing I'm lacking that I think would REALLY help in after effects is Illustrator. I want to pretty much learn the program top to bottome, but it's not necessary for me to be a complete master of it (as far as using it for print material and that kind of stuff is concerned).

So I've narrowed my training choices to two options - Total Training or the Lynda CDs. I'm looking at the CS versions (not CS2), so the pricing for both is in the same range. Would anyone definitely recommend one over the other? Anybody at least sampled both? Or has anyone just had an outright fantastic experience with either and think that it would fulfill my needs?

Any suggestions are greatly appreciated. Thanks in Advance.
