Very large resolution picture issue
on Dec 8, 2015 at 1:19:54 pm

Hello Creative Cow community!

I have 65409x32855 72 DPI .png (SuperPNG) image, 180 MB in filesize. After saving it into .jpg using Photoshop 13.1 I get something around 40 MB which is much better. Here's a few question I have.

1. Chrome, Firefox and Opera cannot open image in such a huge resolution. Is it normal or am I experiencing some browser related issue?
2. Is there a way I can upload this huge image and share it with others? At this point I figured out It can be done with something like google maps but I'm not able to execute such idea.

Thank you!

Browsers don't display that large an image.

But as long as you are able to upload the image, the end user can download it to their computer with right-click>save as..., and view it locally on their computer.

Thus, you can upload a smaller version of the same as a preview, and then link to the larger version with instructions to download it.
