Creating Text Overlay for Multiple Image Layers (animated gif)
on Nov 17, 2014 at 4:43:06 pm

I'm trying to create a single text layer which will overlay multiple image layers for an animated gif banner (using PS5). The image layers (30) are doing a vertical scroll and I want a single text overlay for simplicity's sake in case I ever want to edit the static text message.

All is going well with the display of the image scroll, and it displays beautifully.

However, for the life of me, I cannot get the text overlay working (it needs to appear on all layers). Coding the text on each layer is unthinkable, and I've tried unsuccessfully to link and merge various text layer permutations to no avail.

Any and all suggestions would be *most* appreciated!

Okay, now I feel really foolish. After playing around a bit, I was able to get my text overlay working correctly by extending the timeline over the duration of the animated gif. I also had the image layers set to overlay and changed that to normal. Once I did that, everything works fine!
