Hi guys! Can I ask your advice on something, how would I create something like this background, ignore the superhero its the background I want with the lines. Is it a case of drawing each line individually or can you think of an easier way?
Make a square document.
Fill background with color of your choice.
Make a new layer. View the grid and set Gridline Every: to the dimension of your document and Subdivisions: to the number of beams you want. The more subdivisions, the thinner the bars.
Choose a complementary color and, using the Marquee tool, fill every other bar on the grid. Be sure Snap to Grid is on.
When done, apply Effect>Distort>Polar Coordinates. Instant starburst!
Throw a gradient layer mask on it if you want some center/edge fading.
It is easier to destroy than to create.
More fun, too.
