Action or script to pre-set printing preferences?
on Feb 1, 2013 at 7:03:54 am

I know a lot can be handled by actions.

I'm diligent in checking all my printer (Epson) setting in my Win7 Dialog before I print. But they are not remembered from file to file.

Example, Select Epson printer
In Printer Advanced settings, turn off Color Management
In the PS printer dialog set PS manages color
Select paper profile: Premium Glossy
(Relative Colormetry and Black point compensation seem to to change)

What I'd like until Adobe can fix this would be some automation by an action, or upon opening a file that can set these things properly.

But would actions reach deep into the PS printer settings, as well as the Epson driver settings?

I can not figure out why it switches to say a laser printer as the default?

It would be nice if adobe allowed us to set these peremeters and have them stich until we choose to adjust them.

Any thoughts how this can be done?
