Applying a lighting filter to all of my layers?
on Oct 13, 2010 at 12:03:09 pm

Hi,

I have a number of layers on my canvas and want to apply a single lighting filter effect that effects all the layers. I need to keep the layers separate as they need to be submitted to build a website.

Can anyone help me achieve this?

I know if I merge all the layers and use the lighting effect then I can get exactly what I want but then obviously I can create seperate PNG files of all the website elements I need.

Cheers.

Make a new layer and fill it with white, and make that layer the top layer. Create your lighting effect on that white layer, then change the white layer's blending mode until you get the desired look.
