CS4 History States

I know this topic has been brought up in the past. I would like to bring it up again for small discussion.
After working on a PSD file for a bit, then saving that PSD, & reopening it. There is a empty history state, that just how Photoshop works. Are there any work arounds for the problem?

Thanks!

History states are stored in RAM.. not with the file

This is as designed (states are your undo)

There's not a single app on the market that lets you save your undos after closing a document
