PSD animation timeline only contains one frame.
on Dec 1, 2009 at 2:14:09 am

Hi all in Cowland. Ive been putting together an animation in PS extended + flash and Ive found that there are all kinds of mismatches inconsistencies and unexplained problems between them. And QuickTime too. There's one strange and annoying thing though...

Usually when opening an image sequence in PSD I click the box and all in the folder opens up. I see all the frames in the timeline and I make them into layers and export to video successfully.

But often when I open all the jpegs in an image sequence folder, for some reason only one layer - one frame. They're all jpegs so why should some work and some not? I can tell right away as there's only one frame in the animation timeline when expanded.

I then tried opening the failed ones in QuickTime, sometimes they work, sometimes the same - one frame in it.

Has anyone come across this Psd quirk? If so might anyone have figured out why it is?

regards - Ken
