Framing a photo on Photoshop CS3

Hi everyone! I have learned how to do great things on Photoshop CS3, mainly via the usual trial and error path, but I seem to be stuck on something that many others can probably do at ease.
First, I really need to put frames on some photos that I have worked on, and I have absolutely no idea how to do it.
Second, while I'm at it, I would really appreciate it if someone showed me how to replace a face with another, or put a person in another picture, etc (I don't know what the technical term for this process would be). Your help would be greatly appreciated. Take care everyone

Depending on what type of frame you might want on your image there are different methods. A very simple frame can be created using a layer stroke effect. Layer menu > layer style > stroke

For compositing images into each other you might check out this tutorial:

It's not really about compositing exactly but it has some good compositing techniques.
