300 dpi to 72 Disaster
on May 7, 2008 at 10:22:03 am

Hi there,

I could really do with some help. I've just ruined 3 days work.
I had 20 Tiff photos at 300 dpi which I needed to print and make into a pdf.

For the pdf, I used an old automation command I'd called 72 dpi. My plan was to change all the tiffs to 72 dpi 8-bit files and then save them separately in another folder as jpegs, before creating the pdf.

Unfortunately the command had a save and close command in there and now I have lost my 300 dpi files so I have nothing to print.

Is there some way I can extract the metadata of all the work I'd done and apply it back to the original RAW files, or can I change the 72 dpi images back to 300 dpi and regain the original quality I needed.

I'm tearing my hair out so would appreciate ANY help!

Thank you

Rufus
