interpolating an image?
on Jul 25, 2007 at 1:18:35 am

Have been given a small image and need to enlarge it. Is there anyway of adding information to reduce pixelation - interpolating? I don't want to vectorize the image either.

any help appreciated. Thanks
micah

Arguably, Fractal Interpolation may give you the best result. It works best for photographic images - Not so well for text.
Regardless, it's recommended not to exceed 300% enlargement in any operation, with any interpolation method. If you need further enlargement, do it in steps.
Google: Genuine Fractals.
