file was not saved with a composite image - message

Anyone know what this message is an how I make it go away? (This layered Photoshop file was not saved with a composite image)
This happens when I look at the file in Mac OS X finder and if I import it into some programs like pages or Adobe InDesign. It won't import the file just the text with this message

Thanks, Dave

Easily fixed by opening the file in photohsop.
Edit >> preferences >> file handling >> maximize psd compatibility (to ask or on)
Then do a save as, adn you can save over the same filename.

The files do get larger and slower to save, so this is why adobe let you turn off compatibility.

I read about the maximize psd compatibility and turned that on but the key was the save as!
Awesome tip thanks.
