Proper aspect and point size for standard DV frame?
on Feb 21, 2006 at 5:09:02 am

I've got to resize a pretty large set of files and I need to know what the exact point-to-pixel values are for that purpose. Can you help?

Thanks,

Not sure what you mean by 'point-to-pixel' size

But standard NTSC DV size is 720x480 with a .9 aspect ratio - (Non-square pixels)

A lot of people save their images as 720x540 - then squish these down for DV...

Standard PAL is 720x576 i believe

As with all these things tho - make sure you ask your editor exactly what he needs. Don't guess.

hope that helps,
