Prep stills for HD video
on Jun 14, 2005 at 6:29:48 pm

We are finishing a short HD video that includes about 20 still photos, most are B&W but 2 are color. I'll be preping them in photoshop 7 to take to the online but would like to know if there are levels and setups that I should use on these stills?
The end product will be a 9 min. 16X9 HDCam finish. Moves on the photos will be made online(AvidDSNitris)but I'll be supplying the scanned tiff or targa files.

Should things like white level and black level be set or is auto level fine? Should the color range be limited as I understand even HD doesn't have the full range print has?

I'm a new user of photoshop so any basic suggestions will be very helpfull. I realized too late I need to take a workshop or buy a book on the use of Photoshop for HD video so I'm scrambling a bit right now.

If there is a site that would help please feel free to include.

Thanks in advance too all
HZ
