Combining Paths

I have just started learning how to use the Pen tool.
So I have this image of a car which I want to copy into a different background, I adopted the following proceedure:
Using the Pen tool I created 5 paths one for the outside of the car the other four for the windows.
I had the Add to Path icon selected in the Options bar.
The reason I drew paths for the windows was because I wanted the background to show through.
Now my question is this: I can Control Click each path to turn it into a selection, so does that mean I have to drag the 5 selections seperately into the new background?
Or is there a way of combining them before moving.
Thanks a lot for any replies.
Norm

You can do one of two things:

1. Hold down the shift key when you control click and click all the paths - this will make one selection from all the paths.

2. click on a path, copy, then click on another path and past - this will combine the paths

For future reference, you can draw all the elements of the path as one path and save yourself a step. The only time you'll run into problems is when two or more paths overlay each other. This will create a cut out in the selection.

Good luck
