I have approx. 20 files on a card, and the last file is corrupt. It shows up in RED Cine with a red X over the thumbnail. Tried Monkey Extract which crashes when trying to encode it. How can I recover that folder/file?
Hi Lars ~
Did you ever get an answer to this question? I am having a similar issue:
I have approx 3.5 TB of R3D media from a recent multi-day shoot that I downloaded to a Western Digital striped 4TB Raid Drive. One of the Drives failed recently - which is apparently common with this company's products! - and in attempting to copy the media to a more stable drive, I noticed that there is one R3D file which consistently causes the problematic drive to "disconnect" while copying.
This clip stalls about halfway through the copy, the WD drive disappears, and produces the error message "Drive was not properly ejected…". The problematic clip also won't open in Red Cine-X.
I've tried download Red Undead - not sure if this is what it's designed for? - but after unpacking/ installing it doesn't actually show up anywhere on my machine.
Can anyone advise me about how to salvage this clip?
