REDCINE-X PRO - Frame Doubling, Motion Smearing/Tearing

I generated XML data from my FCP7 project and brought it in to REDCINE-X PRO to generate ProRes 4444.

At first, everything looked cool and I got everything loaded back into my FCP7 project.

Then as I'm stepping through and verifying that each clip landed where it should, I'm seeing some weird stuff: Frame doubling, motion smearing/tearing.

Wondering if I had a setting wrong or if there are any settings that I should mess with to create new renders.

Hi Ian,

Verify that your r3d, QuickTime and sequence frame rates match.

The red shoots progressive frames, make sure your qt files are also progressive and not interlaced.

Also what is you monitoring path in fcp 7?

Inside the program the windows only display one field of information. Can you confirm the picture problems on an external broadcast monitor?

David

Thanks for the reply David.

I found that the problem was originating from the new workstation's allocation of memory in the preferences.

Once I changed that my new exports all came out as expected.
