"As Shot" - Log and transfer issue

Hi --

Very new to working with Red footage. Trying to import 4K into FCP 7.0.3 using log and transfer. Transcoding to Apple ProRes 4444. When I select the "as is" from the drop down menu, the footage shows up as black and white. Selecting "daylight" brings it close to the original media but not exactly. What am i missing?

thanks in advance for any help!!

Try RedCine-X, it will deliver the files better and faster than Any version of FCP will.

Thank you!! I did that and oddly enough, the footage imports as black and white into Red Cine X as well. Although here, I changed the saturation settings to 1, from zero where it came in.

Does this make any sense?

[Jamie Hogan] "Does this make any sense?"

It sounds to me like it was shot with the camera metadata set to black and white. Not a problem anyway because, as you've found, you can turn the saturation back up again in RedCine-X.
