Used red cineX to transcode epic footage, files are limited to 2.15gb???
on Nov 6, 2011 at 9:24:12 am

I'm working urgently for a project,
but after I transcoded two days of footage,
I found all of my clips are limited to 2.15gb in size!

I shot some 4K, 2K footage, some files are quite long/big.
I dragged all of them to redcineX's bin and export bin,
and now no single show exceeds 2.15 gb, when they should be longer!

what happened???? what did I do wrong???

Sounds like you were writing your content to a Fat32 volume that segments the files due to the file format on the disk.

Hard drive formatiting?

I don't understand, I thought this is the problem before.

But I'm using a mac-format drive.
Even though I'm using fat32, isn't the file size limit to be 4Gb?
