final cut pro 7.0.3 log&transfer crash

Hello, thanks for your input
the problem is as it follows : all red raw media is organized with file structure intact in a external Lacie hard drive fire-wire 800, when trying to log&transfer the 4k footage in final cut to trans-code it to pro res the software stop responding, it does not pop-up any message saying its a invalid file structure, we also downloaded the latest drivers and software , so we try to copy a few footage files to the system disk and all goes as it should, we can log&transfer the shots to pro res, (the external drives are formatted for mac os, with a unused small partition in ntfs) maybe this is the problem...?
thanks for your time :-)

Try this:

1. Regenerate all of the wrappers with RCX to create all new QT wrapeprs.
2. Use RCX to generate all of teh QT media.

If you are going back to R3D media files to finish then you can just generate 1/4 rez Prores RT proxies.

If you are not going back to r3d media then you might want to generate Prores 4444 media to edit with.

David

I try to stay away from log and transfer myself, I just like to create all the media with RCX and then import the folder into FCP.
