Anti-Moire lens filter for cell phone screens?
on May 27, 2011 at 6:15:07 pm

Shooting a functional demo of some mobile software and trying to avoid as many problems as possible (yes, I know the best route is to do a comp).

Would using any kind of anti-moire filter help in this situation?

What sort of software? Usually I recommend shooting this as a screen recording on the desktop emulator. If you must do it off the device, try to steady the device as much as possible and shoot indoors so it doesn't get washed out. I suppose you could try a Tiffen softening filter but not sure that's going to nail moire.
