Wondering if I can get 4K at 120fps for 20 minutes continuous run-time on
the Epic with whatever recording machine is available.

Dan,

I am going to say yes on a 256GB SSD recording media.

Why I said yes.

1. at a lower compression rate shooting 2:1 4K you can get up to 93 minutes on a 128GB SSD@24fps.

There is some math to be done but at a 12:1 compression ratio if you are willing to shoot 2:1 the you could get around 93 minutes, that equals 133920 frames.

at 120 FPS it means you could get about 18.6 minutes of 120FPS on a 128GB mag, on a 256 you could get about twice as much.

So I think the answer is yes provided you capture 4K 2:1 at a 12:1 compression ratio.

David

Why not do it today?

A 256GB should indeed cope at a reasonable compression ratio.
