I've never worked with footage from a Red before and I have a pending project for which I'm trying to figure out the workflow.
I have a client that wants to shoot some sports footage at 2K 120fps, so that they can get fairly decent slow motion in a 24p sequence with out having to rely on interpolation unless we need to. The final show is bound for the web, so I can bump down the rez and convert to QT, but need to retain the 120fps.
Ideally, I want to be able to view and edit the footage in realtime (not slowed down) without rendering, but have access to the extra frames when we get to a shot that we want to playback slow. Is there a clean way to do this with Final Cut Studio?
Also, we may have to take a sequence from FCP to After Effects for additional polishing and graphics.
