So here's the thing. RED apparently just upgraded their camera to the Mysterium chip and their firmware to build 30. However, it seems that none of their supporting plugins or codecs are caught up yet (nearest is build 21). Using build 21 in FCP or QuickTimePro makes Mysterium clips look completely green. Not just a slight green tint, but pea soup green.

They offer an "early beta" application called REDCine-X that as far as I can tell is the only app that can view footage properly that was shot using the Mysterium chip. Unfortunately it's the slowest thing on earth, taking an hour and a half to convert my smallest clip.

Does anyone have any suggestions for a better (faster) workflow for converting these files to ProRes?

You're my hero, the new QT plugin's working perfectly (so far).

Doesn't it seem odd though that they'd put a camera into general use without having a solid way to play the footage it creates?

And for the record, I'm not the one who opted to use the Mysterium. I'm just the guy on the other end of it whose job it is to make it work...

Thanks again.

There will be a version of Premiere Pro CS5 which can handle it very soon.
