red rushes to DVCPROHD

Hey guys:

im editing something on the run here. used Red rushes to export to DVCPRO HD 720p60 for editing on my laptop while im in my bedroom @ home.

rushes look great. but when i put it on my FCP timeline i get the red render bar even though FCP conforms the timeline to the correct format.

but the format is kinda wierd, when i checked it , it was 1024 x 576, 720p60 DVCPRO HD, square pixels @ 23.98

would like it to play back in realtime without rendering, any suggessions?

Thanks

Your source was probably shot in 2:1, now you've got an unsupported size. 'I suppose FCP doesn't like DVCProHD in any other size than 720 or 1080. You can crop or letterbox you footage in RR to get one of those size in 16:9.

But I suggest Clipfinder for transcoding, it' miles ahead of RR by now (and free as well).

Hope this helps,

thanks Uli:

U live and learn. Clipfinder you say. a friend of mine spoke of Rubber monkey. but "free" is a good word.
