Hey guys :

Does Arri have a 4K Camera? Last time i checked they have a 2K D21, never saw anything with 4K. Correct me if im wrong please. I actually saw an article on studioDaily that says they do:

Read this: "This compact camera features a single 1.25-inch CMOS image sensor of 3840 x 2160 pixels, capable of producing live images with 4 times the resolution of full HD."

It can't be any better in resolution than the RED One, all Bayer pattern cameras need an OLPF, so at best it will be around 2.6 K.

ARRI has 2880 by 2160 photosites, which make it perfect up to HD…

There will be lots of demonstrations like this, but you can buy a working camera from Red today. By the time JVC delivers I suppose Red will be at least one generation ahead…

Sorry, Nigel, I don't quite get your question. My citation was from your link.

Or which camera are you asking about?

Uli, it's ALL cameras need an OLPF. Yes for Bayer CFA, yes for RGB stripe, yes for 3 chip. They all need it. If you look at the images I posted on CML you can see very low level detail all the way out to 4k, but we "call" it around 3.2k for meaningful detail.
